How would you spend £30,000 of Cornwall Council Town Vitality funding? Cornwall Council's Town Vitality Fund aims to help revitalise town centres and high streets to ensure they continue to be vibrant places which support thriving communities. Lostwithiel has been awarded £20,000 to take forward a sustainable, climate-friendly transport plan for the town & £10,000 to develop proposals to secure a financially viable future for The Guildhall, Edgcumbe House & Taprell House, the 3 listed buildings which Lostwithiel Town Council looks after on behalf of the community.

continued... The money is to be used to pay for Consultants to investigate, consult with local residents, and advise us on how to achieve these goals. A new Town Team will advise the Town Council on next steps, and now needs people with ideas and energy to get involved. Members will attend a monthly evening meeting where they can put forward their suggestions. If you are interested in getting involved, the first meeting will be on Tuesday 22 March at 7pm in Lostwithiel Library and if you’ve any questions please contact Phil Wisdom phil.wisdom@lostwithielcouncillors.org.uk
