Married for over 40 years to my wife Maggie with whom I attended Lostwithiel CP School many years ago. A third-generation member of my family living in Lostwithiel, very lucky to also having our sons and grandchildren living here.I served for just under 33 years in the Royal Navy and was fortunate to have visited many countries around the world; when asked I will tell people that, for me, there is no better place to live than right here in Lostwithiel. So as a Councillor I feel that my role is to ensure that it remains that way – by listening and having firm strategies in place.

I have lived in Lostwithiel for 20 years and joined Lostwithiel Town Council in 2017. I am keen to be involved in how the town develops in the future.I support more social housing, preferably with allocation for senior citizens home’s. I support retaining our open spaces, I am in favour of the 20 MPH , cleaner air & a safer town centre for pedestrians.
Lostwithiel is a very special town & must be looked after.

I served our community for 17 years with the local fire service and am Chairperson and Coach of Lostwithiel Youth Football Club, which we re-established in 2023. I have also run a successful local business since 2012. Originally from Fowey, I have lived in Lostwithiel since 2020. I work asan intelligence analyst and spend my spare time playing for the local
cricket club at Boconnoc. Lostwithiel's defining quality is its sense of
community, and I'm passionate about bringing people together throughout
our town. I believe in working closely with residents to keep the town

I joined the town council and the Edgcumbe house working party in 2015I then joined the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group and subsequently became its chair leading the work which led to the 2019 Neighbourhood Plan.
I enjoyed being deputy mayor for one year. Currently, I sit on the staffing and planning committees.
I am active around town being a member of the Town Team which produced the award-winning four town trails. I spent many years helping to organise LostFest.

My name is Karin Henderson. Lostwithiel born and bred, went to Lostwithiel CP school followed by Fowey comprehensive. I then spent 35yrs on and off in mental health nursing. I married a man in the forces in 1991 and went abroad for 9yrs - Germany/Canada until we returned to UK in 2000.I returned to Cornwall in 2005 to be near my mum and family. I've been on Lostwithiel TC for 11yrs, enjoying doing what's best for our historic town.

I come from Oxfordshire, where I was a County Councillor for 12 years representing a Division of thirteen rural villages. I had been a District Councillor for four years prior to that. At County level I was the Cabinet Member responsible for Cultural Services and Education.Professionally I studied at Reading and Oxford Universities achieving a BA Hons in archaeology. I have excavated across the UK, Europe and the Middle East.

Prior to retirement I taught in secondary education for 35 years, becoming a senior member of staff as faculty head, leading a team of over 20 staff in six subject disciplines.I have volunteered at Lostwithiel library since 2019 and been a member of the Neighbourhood Priorities Steering group since 2024. Joining Lostwithiel Town Council in May 2025
